Hello everyone this is my first post to my first blog.

Hello,

This is my first blog post. I want to show my 1976 Kawasaki kz400 I just bought on 01/03/09. I just picked up the motorcycle with the help of my good friend and his truck. We brought the Kawasaki to my house after a week at the sellers place. The delivery home was on Saturday 01/10/09. Here are some photos of the bike and the condition it was in when I purchased it. It was in pieces and they where in a large cardboard box. I only paid 50 dollars for the bike so I am stoked. I pulled the bike out of the garage and sorted through the parts box and laid everything out to photograph and examine the condition of the bike better. Its crusty, cracked and a little rusty. All there though and in fairly good condition no dents, inside of the gas tank is perfect. I think it was originally in California so that may have been a good thing for the motorcycle. I could not stop myself from using alittle steel wool on some parts to see how bad the oxidation was. I am not sure if this a good practice to do using steel wool. The exhaust pipes where missing so that is the only part not there. I can live with that and I can not wait to get this up and running. Maybe in time for bike week in Daytona. I live about an hour from there, but I doubt I will make it with this motorcycle. I have another vulcan classic will take that to bike week with my bud's.
